About Larissa

Larissa Service is a Toronto-based Holistic Nutritionist and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner helping women in their 30s and beyond, to take control of their hormones and improve their overall health and wellness.

A graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Larissa is a dedicated health detective who seeks to uncover the root causes of unexplained symptoms and health challenges.

Her approach is both holistic and personalized, utilizing advanced functional testing like GI MAP, DUTCH, and HTMA to design highly effective protocols tailored to each client’s unique needs.

The goal is to empower her clients with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions about their health, emphasizing the importance of nutrition, balanced lifestyle choices, and deep self-care.

When she's not working with clients, Larissa loves playing in the kitchen, crafting delicious recipes using fresh, local ingredients from St. Lawrence Market. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling the world and exploring different cultures & cuisines, and finding peace by the water.

My Story:

My hormone journey started early. From the start, my periods were a nightmare, and problem skin led to a quick prescription for birth control pills before my hormones even had a chance to regulate. While it masked the symptoms, I had no idea of the nutrient deficiencies it caused or its impact on my gut health.

Through my 20’s I struggled with food and body image. Restrictive and low calorie diets, skipping breakfast and surviving on coffee caused further chaos with my hormones and metabolism.

When I hit 30 and decided to come off the pill, everything came back with a vengeance—constant anxiety, fatigue, brain fog, hormonal migraines, stubborn weight, adult acne, and those periods from hell that left me in bed for days. Seeking help from healthcare providers only left me frustrated and unheard, with more prescriptions but no real solutions.

The stress of a high-pressure corporate life, coupled with the emotional toll of losing my dad, put me on the fast path to burnout. My symptoms worsened, with insomnia, exhaustion, heart palpitations, dizziness, new food sensitivities, and even arthritis-like joint pain. All of a sudden everything felt sooo hard. It all became too much, and I hit my rock bottom. This was a pivotal turning point that I never expected.

Instead of giving up, I chose transformation. I left my career in finance and spent time traveling the world to reconnect with myself in the process. I enrolled at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition knowing that I found my true calling: helping women struggling with hormonal imbalances to take control of their health.

And today I do just that - with my signature program HER Method. With years of studying stress, hormones, and nutrition, I’ve developed a holistic approach that works. I’ve helped women just like you resolve their hormonal issues, eliminate their symptoms and improve their quality of life.

I truly believe that you can live a healthy, balanced life without dieting, deprivation or restriction. I want you to live your best and healthiest life - so you can focus your energy on the things that matter most.
